Water Color Reflections: 1/27/12
1. I think the strong parts of my paintings are the use of colors because they contrast each other or set the mood of the painting.
2. I think I could have made the colors look smoother and a little less translucent on some parts of the paintings.
3. The three paintings are unified by the flow of the paint from parts of the paintings by usinig a straw to blow the paint around.
4. I chose to use warm and cool colors in all of my paintings. In my future painting I used mostly warm to symbolize a bright futrue. In my past painting I used mostly cool colors because it is farther in the past. My present painting uses a dark background to symbolize night with color to represent light.
5. There are things I like and dislike about water color painting. I like how colors blend together but they aren't as easy to get the result you want in the end.
6. I learned a few things from this project that could be used in future projects. I learned color schemes I could use and how to unify my paintings. Something that could be applied to life would be time management skills because you must manage your time very well when you are painting.
7. The paintings represent parts of my life. Some of the things I did were planned but others were by experimenting with things that I thought would look good.
8. I will use unity on my future paintings and paint the background first before the details closer to the front of the painting.
